Project Overview and History
The West Kenya Gold project covers the Liranda Corridor, a structural zone within the northern-most greenstone belt in the Lake Victoria Goldfields. The property contains the Isulu and Bushiangala deposits where Shanta Gold have defined Indicated resources of 722 Koz gold grading 11.45 g/t within a global resource of 1,285 Koz gold grading 10.6 g/t.
Bukura is located approximately two kilometres northwest of the Isulu and Bushiangala deposits and covers the extensions of the shear zone that forms the structural setting for mineralization in the region.
Previous exploration on the Bukura licenses includes soil geochemistry, geophysics and several air-core, reverse circulation, and diamond drilling campaigns. Highlight drill holes from the Bukura license includes drillhole LCD0043 which graded 7.10 g/t over one metre.
Transaction Summary
In June 2022, Orogen acquired a 3% net smelt royalty on the Bukura license as part of a three-royalty package purchased from Advance Lithium Corp for US $120,000 and a 100% of the Sarape Gold project.
